Coldep technology test on Norovirus

The VAL AQUA seawater purification technology will be tested in the coming months (November 2024) specifically on its effectiveness in fighting norovirus.

In view of this strategic challenge for the French oyster industry, the Syndicat Mixte du Bassin de Thau (SMTB) approved the launch of an experiment in real conditions this week in the steering committee: More information here

The protocol will consist in running the VAL AQUA process in several configurations continuously in winter conditions. Scientific expertise will be provided by theIfremer with the support of the laboratory IAGE Engineering and Analysis in Environmental Genetics.

The study will make it possible to scientifically compile precise and numerical results concerning the biosecurity performance of the patented solution of Coldep.

‍
